The Goat Rocks and William O. Douglas wilderness areas are home to 59 lakes and over 200 ponds. Secluded high mountain lakes and streams are nestled against tree lines with stunning views of the Cascade Mountains. Trout fishing is particularly good during the summer months. Ride with us or hike in to a select remote fishing location of your choice. Drop camps for fishing are typically open from Memorial Day to Labor Day every year. If you would like to schedule a trip outside our normal date range, get in contact with us and we will try to put something special together for you. For more info on the Goat Rocks and William O. Douglas Wildernesses, see our service area map.

This is a 4-day, pack-in, camping/fishing trip with us in the wilderness. This is kinda designed for those who want to spend a little more time fishing rather than camping. Day one we ride to camp. (arrive mid-afternoon) Day two and three are free time to you to fish one or several of our high mountain lakes not far from camp. (or take long naps in the shade and tell everyone the weather wasn’t right for fishing, we don’t care) Day three we eat a hearty breakfast then strike out on the trail back for home. We provide all the camp gear, bring you into one of our favorite fishing spots or one of your choosing, and stay and cook for you. The meals are cowboy style outside over the fire usually and are backcountry delicious. We will even cook your fish if you want. 3-person minimum. Kids must be 12 years old to ride, 5 years old to participate, and discounts are available for the kids.

We Care About You

The wilderness is a wild place where anything can happen. We take every precaution to ensure the safety of our clients. We do not pack solo guests into the wilderness nor leave them alone in camp. All guests must be accompanied by a second person. At least one person on each trip into the wilderness who is employed by or affiliated with White Pass Outfitters will be certified in First Aid and C.P.R. Please contact us with any questions or concerns you may have or visit our FAQ page. Because we operate in the remote wilderness there are certain guidelines we need to follow. We’ll handle the legalities of an outfitted trip, but we recommend you review the USDA’s Rules Of Thumb For Wilderness Areas.
